	3/8" Breakaway* Side Release Buckle (cat) Acetal Buckle opens with pulling and twisting. NEVER use this buckle with a leash. 3/8" side release side view	The 3/8 breakaway side release, measures somewhere between 3/8 and 1/2". Depending on weight and flexibility of materials, either 1/2" or 3/8" materials may work.		*Breakaway buckles are specially designed for cats. If their collar catches on something, the cat's twisting or struggling action causes the buckle to open, freeing the cat.

	Buckle Comparison Please read this important information regarding the difference between the 3/8" non-breakaway and breakaway buckles. The buckle insert on the left is the breakaway buckle. The left outside post is missing the outside "lump". This is what allows the buckle to breakaway when pulled. NEVER use this buckle with a leash. The insert on the right is the non-breakaway buckle. NEVER use this insert to make cat collars.
