Limited Choke Collar Kits		  

Limited choke collars, a fresh alternative to classic martingale collars, simple to make, lighter weight and slip area lies flat. Like the martingale these collars are designed especially for dogs with heads smaller than their necks. Suitable for any breed, these collars have a gentle tightening action to prevent the dog from backing out of the collar. Collars slip on over the head and are fully adjustable. Extra D ring for use as a regular, non-tightening collar or tags. Why two patterns? One for the larger sizes and one for the smaller sizes? The technique for making the straps is different in each pattern. The straps in the smaller sizes pattern are very lightweight, while the straps in the larger sizes pattern are more traditional weight. While the basic instructions are the same and can be used interchangeably, using the heavier style straps with the very small hardware can be a challenge.

Limited Choke Collar Kit

This easy project requires only basic sewing skills and equipment (home sewing machine). Kit includes detailed, illustrated instructions and top quality hardware to make two collars using your fabric*. Collars are fully adjustable to fit a range of sizes. Basic leash instructions included.

Instructions for 5 sizes included to fit a range of necks 9 to 29 inches in a variety of widths.

*Collar strap is made from cotton fabric and heavy weight interfacing. No nylon webbing needed.

Webbing Conversion Chart-This chart is meant to be used in combination with the instructions in Creative Designworks Collar Kits. The kits do not have specific instructions for using webbing. Use the measurements in the chart to substitute nylon webbing for the handmade cotton webbing. Then follow the instructions to construct your item.

Instructions for 3 sizes included to fit a range of necks 7 to 16 inches in a variety of widths.

*Collar strap is made from cotton fabric and fusible webbing. No nylon webbing needed.

  CAUTION: Choke collars can cause injury to any dog, especially very small dogs. Check with your vet to determine the safest application of a choke collar for your dog. Children must be supervised when using this type collar. Please use your good judgment and common sense in determining appropriate use of any pet collar  
  Remember, collar safety is YOUR responsibility. Pets should never be left unattended in a collar that tightens. Only you can determine the suitability of these collars for your pet.
